Rules and Regulations
Requirements: The tournament is open only to players rated up to FIDE 2099 ELO. There is no choice of group.
Format: Swiss system, 9 rounds, classical time control 90 minutes + 30 seconds per move.
Half-byes: A player may use a maximum of two half-point byes in rounds 1-7. The request must be submitted to the arbiter no later than the end of the last game of the previous round.
Tie-breaks: Final standings are decided in order by: points scored, Buchholz CUT-1, Buchholz, Sonneborn-Berger, Progress, direct encounter, number of wins, number of wins with black.

Special prizes: best player rated up to 1850 — PLN 400; up to 1700 — PLN 350; up to 1550 — PLN 300.
Prizes are gross and paid by bank transfer. A 10% tax applies to prizes above PLN 2,000.
Registration and Entry Fee
Please register through the WFS 2026 form. OPEN A or OPEN B will be assigned automatically according to the FIDE rating.
